Teaching Assistant - Meavy and Lady Modiford's primary schools, West Dartmoor

Required for September 2020
Contract Term: - Permanent
Salary Grade: - SC Level 2 – NJC Points 3 -5. Starting salary £9.36 per hour (FTE £18,065)
Hours: - 8.45 a.m. – 12 noon Monday – Friday mornings at Meavy
1.00 – 3.00 p.m. - 3 afternoons per week at Lady Modiford’s (to be determined)
Term Time only 38 wpa.


To start in September 2020, we are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who will be able to support our children with their learning. You will be required to work mornings, Monday to Friday at Meavy School and 3 afternoons per week at Lady Modiford’s School.
Successful candidates will: -
 Be able to assist pupils to learn and reach their full potential
 Have high expectations and understanding of behaviour of all pupils
 Work in partnership with the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom
 Create and maintain a purposeful learning environment
 Have experience of delivering interventions for children

Applicants should outline the experience and expertise they would bring to this role. A relevant
qualification of NVQ Level 3 is desirable.
