Do you have experience of managing an office and want to do this in an environment where your role will have a positive impact in the lives and education of children in Exeter? If so this could be the next career step for you. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of St Christopher’s Multi Academy Trust, where we draw regularly on the support of dedicated colleagues and directors, in order to achieve our shared objectives. The ideal candidate will uphold the strong ethos of the Trust based on its Christian values, and will become part of a positive team, who are hard-working and dedicated to being the ‘best that they can be’.

St Leonard's C of E Primary School currently has around 630 pupils, set on a large plot, the school benefits from large open spaces for children to engage with learning outdoors, whilst having plenty of space to enjoy break and lunch times with friends. The school has experienced continued growth and success, and is proud to serve the community with links to the local church and charities.

Your role is key to ensuring the operational functions of the school (administration, personnel, premises and H&S) support the educational staff and pupils, working together to ensure St Leonards provides an outstanding provision for its pupils. You will work closely with the Headteacher and Pupil Services Manager and lead and manage the office team.   We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate initiative, who can be flexible to the needs of the organisation, and are able to meet demanding deadlines. If you are someone who is well organised, with effective communication skills, and can lead, coach and mentor a team, then we would be interested in hearing from you. You will be willing to learn new systems, and be capable of working flexibly, in a fast-paced academy environment.

If you have any questions about the role, please contact our HR team in the first instance, and they will be able to arrange an informal discussion for you.  To apply please see the documents below for an application form, which should be returned by email to HR@stcmat.org  by 9am on Wednesday 20 January. Interviews will take place on Tuesday 26 January.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful candidates. Candidates are encouraged to read our Safeguarding policy before applying.
