1:1 Teaching Assistant for a Y5 child – Level 3, St Leonard's CofE Primary School
Contract Term: Sept 2022 for a maximum of two year – tied to the attendance of the child
Hours: 32 hours per week (8.15am - 3.10pm (includes a 30 min lunch break)
Salary: SC-3. NJC points 6-9. Salary Actual £14,531 - £15,419 (£20,043- £21,269 FTE)
Term Time only: 38 weeks per annum
Annual Leave: Taken outside of term time and paid pro-rata throughout the year (no annual leave to be taken during term time)

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our collaborative academy, which is committed to developing our great team, centred around humility and respect.
This is an exciting opportunity to join St Leonard's CofE Primary School, in Exeter, part of St Christopher's Multi Academy Trust. Your role you will be providing support on a 1:1 basis with a Year 5 child who has an Education Health Care Plan with Social Emotional Mental Health and Communication and Interaction needs.
The child has their own spacious environment that affords the opportunity for active learning. Activities will be tailored to his interests which allows for child-led creativity.
St Leonard's CofE Primary School currently has around 600 pupils, set on a large plot, the school benefits from large open spaces for children to engage with learning outdoors, whilst having plenty of space to enjoy break and lunch times with friends. The school has experienced continued growth and success, and is proud to serve the community with links to the local church and charities. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a calm and patient demeanour, who is committed to helping young people achieve their full potential. You will have had previous experience in working with children and be able to effectively communicate with adults and children alike.
