Are you a passionate teacher who believes in creating a stimulating, enabling, learning environment? Looking for a fresh challenge? Want to be part of an ambitious school with a supportive team in a community school? If this sounds like you, make the move to Upton St James CofE Primary School. We are seeking to appoint a class teacher, where high-quality provision for all is at the heart of what we do.
Upton St James is a wonderful, inclusive school on a small site with a huge heart. We are based in a victorian school building but hold modern, nurturing values. Our strong christian ethos helps to create a warm, calm atmosphere, whilst priding ourselves on our high achievements. The Academy is part of the St Christopher’s Trust - a family of 18 church and community cchools spanning three local authorities and providing a rich network of collaboration.
We are looking for someone who can facilitate an engaging, motivating and inspiring continuous provision and develop a curriculum, rooted in first-hand experiences: making the most of the school and local environment in order achieve the best learning outcomes for all pupils. You will be a dynamic, creative practitioner who is skilled at challenging all pupils, whatever their starting points, using your strong pedagogical practice and philosophy along with effective use of assessment. You will be experienced at collaborating with others and working in positive and proactive ways to drive high expectations and support overall school improvement.
If you feel that you are an inspirational teacher who aspires to shape the lives of young people, we welcome you to apply to be part of our hardworking team.
In joining Upton St James CofE Primary School, you will be part of a friendly and welcoming staff team and a supportive community. As a Church of England school, you will be happy to support the Anglican ethos through our school values.
When completing an application please ensure you address all aspects of the person specification and list any additional subject strengths.
