Old Priory Junior Academy is a well-regarded school situated in Plympton, Plymouth. We are a popular school because of the high expectations and because our school values underpin all that we do. Our core value is love and we aim to show that in everything that we do in our school: in our lives as teachers; in our relationships with the children and their families; and in our determination to provide the best learning and pastoral experiences for all of our children. The school is part of the St Christopher’s Trust - a family of 18 church and community schools spanning three local authorities and providing a rich network of collaboration.
We are looking for a rigorous practitioner with a creative flare and zest to bring learning to life for all our pupils. You will be experienced and skilled in challenging each pupil, whatever their starting point, using your strong pedagogical practice and philosophy, which underpins your approach to teaching. You will be used to working in positive and proactive ways, as well as collaborating with others, to drive high expectations, supporting the overall school improvement.
In joining Old Priory Junior Academy, you will be part of a friendly and welcoming staff team and a supportive community. You will have the opportunity to develop your teaching and leadership skills in an environment that has a strong focus on CPD whatever career stage you are at. When completing an application please ensure you address all aspects of the person specification and list any additional subject strengths. If you would like to visit the school please contact the school office on 01752 338199 to arrange a convenient time.
We are also advertising a role at Plympton St Mary's Church of England Infant School for a KS1 teacher (0.4). We would consider combining the two roles to make a 0.6 post for the right candidate. The school would also consider adding you to our internal supply bank where any additional supply hours will be offered to internal staff first.
Please see the documents below for more information and for an application form. Your completed application form should be returned by email to HR@stcmat.org by 9am Friday 23rd April 2021. Interviews will be held on Friday 30th April 2021.
