Loving God and loving your neighbour
St. Rumon's Church of England Infant School is a proud member of the Tavistock Church Schools Federation and is a forward thinking school with strong Christian values. Its' latest report SIAMs inspection, in which the school maintained its Outstanding Status, stated that 'The joyful, loving atmosphere in the school is witness to the outstanding Christian distinctiveness which characterises St Rumon's and impacts on all areas of school life.' SIAMS March 2015. In July 2015 the school entered its next exciting phase by joining with St Christopher's Multi Academy Trust.
The school believes in achieving the very best for children and in order to do this offers an engaging, challenging curriculum, together with a caring, nurturing environment, to support each child in becoming a confident, creative and successful individual. The school works closely with parents and the wider community in order to help shape pupils who are prepared for lifelong learning and are tolerant, well rounded individuals.
The school values form the central pillar, running through all it does and are framed within the two commandments of loving God and loving your neighbour.
