St. Edward's Church of England Primary Academy is in Eggbuckland, Plymouth. It strives to develop confident, resilient, positive, reflective children who love to learn, who enjoy coming to school, and through the planned rich variety of experiences develop the necessary skills for lifelong learning.
"One Family - caring, sharing, learning together"
Our school's Christian values are the branches of Kindness, Respect and Courage spreading from the main trunk of Love. These underpin teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares pupils as confident, resilient, happy citizens who are prepared for lifelong learning. Along with these, the British Values of Democracy, Law, Liberty, Respect and Tolerance are promoted in the school through the curriculum, collective worship and by the school council. The school is committed to serving its community and recognises the multi-cultural nature of its community, both near and far.
As an inclusive, caring Christian school where every child matters, the school recognises that all children have talents and abilities to celebrate, and a part of its role is to help them discover and develop these. Each child is valued as an individual, who through the experiences and opportunities the school provides will grow to gain a better understanding of the teachings of Jesus Christ. This positive ethos is based upon shared Christian Values which are encouraged and promoted, through the way the school conducts itself as well as being embedded in the curriculum.
