HR Adviser, Devon
Full time, 40 weeks a year
£29,636-32,029pa (pro-rata £26,032-28,134pa)
Are you an experienced HR Adviser, passionate about ensuring all that you do helps to shape individual lives within school communities? Are you ready to step into a new role with the opportunity to influence process and procedures?
St Christopher’s Trust are looking for a HR Adviser to join the Central HR Team, working alongside a leadership team supporting our 17 church and community primary schools. You’ll be based from either our Central Office in Exeter or at one of our local academies across Devon (the Academies section on our website will show you where these are located).
You’ll need to have experience in offering advice on a variety of HR policies and procedures, particularly in recruitment, ideally familiar with the education sector or multi academy trust setting. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our processes do what they need to, with employee experience at its heart. Having a trust-wide responsibility, you’ll get to put your great organisation and communication to effective use. Comfortable to hold training and development sessions for our staff and leaders, this role really has a mix of generalist HR activities.
Alongside the day to day duties of recruitment, casework, advice and generalist HR support to schools, there will be plenty of projects to get involved in too. You’ll support the HR Manager with the annual employee survey, appraisal processes and coordination of the HR training schedule. You’ll be motivated by working in a small HR team with a big impact. Keeping our Christian values at the heart of everything you do, your advice to leaders will coach them in their actions and keep focused on our vision of flourishing communities.
Please visit www.stchristophersmat.org for an application form. Your completed application should be returned by email to HR@stcmat.org by 9am Friday 7th August. Virtual interviews will take place on Friday 14th August.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful candidates. Candidates are encouraged to read our Safeguarding policy before applying.
