Headteacher

Axminster, Devon

Full time, permanent

Salary L6 - 8 (£46,457 - 48,808pa)

If you are a visible, supportive, and approachable teaching professional who is genuinely interested in building community and willing to get stuck in to make a difference, make the move to All Saints Primary School as Headteacher.

All Saints Primary School is part of the St Christopher’s Trust - a family of 17 Church and Community Schools spanning three local authorities and providing a network of collaboration at many levels. Situated on the outskirts of a thriving village a mile from Axminster, we are a lovely school that aims to create a happy and caring Christian atmosphere where everyone feels secure and confident. As well as 105 delightful pupils that are eager to learn, you will find a welcoming staff team that’s committed to ensuring an engaging, lively and challenging curriculum for all. St Christopher’s Trust is an outward looking Trust with key strategic partnerships that enable the Trust to keep learning and growing. The Trust works alongside schools to support flourishing communities.

A great opportunity for an aspirational leader who is looking for a new headship role, you will be joining a school that’s previously been under executive leadership and is currently on a journey of improvement. That means you will have real scope to influence current practice, develop a clear vision for the curriculum and establish the school within the local community. Providing the dynamic and professional leadership it takes to ensure every pupil receives a high quality, principled education will be key. And, when it comes to inspiring, challenging, motivating, and empowering all members of the school community so that they can help carry the vision for the school forward, again, we will count on you.

To apply, you will need to be a passionate practitioner who is not afraid of doing what’s being asked of others and has a clear vision for the curriculum. Someone who already has some experience in a school leadership position, you are willing to share your knowledge of current teaching affairs with others and happy to embrace our school values. You are also as comfortable greeting parents each day as you are collaborating with Trust colleagues in order to create wonderful places of learning. Last but not least, you’re committed to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of pupils and protecting and enhancing the Anglican ethos, working with the Church and guided by Christian values.

As well as a competitive salary and attractive benefits package, the Trust provides a rich programme of CPD that supports leaders, teachers, governors, support staff and business managers at their various stages of leadership development.
