Are you passionate about providing children with a safe and enriched environment where they can creatively play at the end of their school day? If so, this could be the next career step for you. This is an exciting opportunity to work at St Leonard's CofE Primary School, as part of St Christopher’s Multi Academy Trust; where we draw regularly on the support of dedicated colleagues and directors, in order to achieve our shared objectives. The ideal candidate will uphold the strong ethos of the Trust based on its Christian values, and will become part of a positive team, who are hard-working and dedicated to being the ‘best that they can be’.
St Leonard's CofE Primary School currently has around 630 pupils; set on a large plot, the school benefits from large open spaces for children to engage with learning outdoors, whilst having plenty of space to enjoy break and lunch times with friends. The school has experienced continued growth and success, and is proud to serve the community with links to the local church and charities.
We are looking for candidates with minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification in play work or childcare, or somebody currently studying towards the relevant qualification. Are you someone who can provide a nourishing environment for our pupils, and has the ability to maintain a positive and caring approach. If you have an appreciation of the differing needs and abilities of primary age children, and have experience of working with children in an education setting, then we would be really interested in hearing from you.
If you have any questions about the role, please contact the school office on 01392 666 570. To apply please visit the academy website: https://www.stchristophersmat.org/topic/vacancies for an application form, which should be returned by email to HR@stcmat.org by 12:00pm on Tuesday 15th December. Interviews will take place on Thursday 17th December.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful candidates. Candidates are encouraged to read our Safeguarding policy before applying.
