Narrative:
The trust’s workforce consists of 91.3% female staff. This is higher than the national figure for staff across the primary education sector. When comparing like-for-like roles, headteacher posts are held by 27% men and 73% female staff; female headteachers are paid 4% more than their male colleagues. Similarly, in the role of deputy head head, posts are held by 30% male and 70% female staff; female deputy heads are paid 3% more than their colleagues.
St Christopher’s recognises that there are significantly higher proportions of female staff working in support roles. The Trust is committed to creating flexible opportunities to develop work/life balance for all staff.
